Monsoon is expected to reach Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh in next 48 hours

The monsoon has reached the south-western hill state of Uttarakhand and is likely to reach Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Chandigarh in the next 48 hours, the IMD said on Tuesday.

 

 

The meteorological department is preparing to move further in the next 48 hours in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, the entire western Himalayan region, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, most parts of Punjab and some parts of Rajasthan.

In recent days, it has spread to the rest of the North Arabian Sea, most parts of Kutch, some other parts of Gujarat region, Madhya Pradesh and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

 The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) now passes through Ahmedabad, Shajapur, Fatehpur and Rudraprayaya.
